Daviana Basilio

Daviana Basilio, Born in Havana, 1990. She is a Cuban visual artist, art teacher and art therapist. The subject of her work is femininity represented through the figure of women in natural environments. 


The techniques she uses are acrylic on canvas, oil on canvas, watercolour printmaking, and sculpture. Her style is described as Caribbean Pop, due to the use of flat, vibrant, and contrasting colours. She has done dozens of personal and collective art exhibitions, and she have been done collaborations with artists such as K'cho, or Ilya and Emilia Kabakov (The Ship of Tolerance). She was part of the llth y 12th Havana Biennial. 


Her work is in private collections in Argentina Brazil, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cuba. Ecuador, England, Italy, Mexico, Norway, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and U.S.A
