Creating Driftwood Sculptures

Create your own ocean-inspired artwork using driftwood, shells and other locally sourced natural materials. Guided by local artists in the relaxed setting of the Arts Hub, you’ll learn new techniques and leave with a unique BVI creation to take home.

Reef Inspired Jewellery

Design Caribbean-inspired jewellery using beads, shells, sea glass, coconut, stones, recycled sail fabric and other ocean-inspired materials. Guided by local artists, you can make necklaces, bracelets, earrings, keepsakes or wearable art.

Wellness & Creative Journalling

Slow down and reconnect through guided journalling, collage-making and gentle art exercises. Using writing prompts, watercolour, pressed botanicals and scrapbook-style layouts, you’ll build a beautifully curated journal in a peaceful setting with herbal teas and ambient music.

Calabash Bowl Making

Learn traditional calabash carving with Carrot Bay craftsman Devin “Cadi” Parsons, one of the few people preserving this skill in the BVI. Combining hands-on carving with stories of local heritage, the workshop offers a meaningful connection to the islands’ cultural traditions, with each participant finishing their own calabash bowl.

Painting a Caribbean Seascape

Capture the beauty of the Caribbean in a relaxed acrylic painting workshop led by BVI artist Sim Llewellyn. Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll learn simple painting techniques and create an island-inspired seascape on canvas. Sim’s warm, accessible approach makes the session enjoyable for complete beginners and experienced artists alike.

cCoconut Hat Making

Learn the traditional art of coconut palm hat making with Virgin Gordian farmer, beekeeper and environmental educator Jahnai Caul. You’ll weave and shape coconut palm fronds into a functional hat while discovering the cultural significance of this long-standing island craft. This workshop offers a hands-on connection to the natural heritage and traditions of the Virgin Islands.

Painting Herbs & Plants

Discover the herbs and plants of the Virgin Islands with Bermudian artist, art therapist and educator Sarah Graham. Through guided sketching and discussion, you’ll learn to observe local botanicals while uncovering their historical and medicinal uses in Caribbean culture. The session offers a relaxed and creative way to connect with the islands’ natural environment and the traditions these plants have supported for generations.

watercolouring birds of the bvi

Paint the birdlife of the Virgin Islands in this engaging watercolour workshop with artist, art therapist and educator Sarah Graham. You’ll learn simple watercolour techniques while creating a portrait of a local species and discovering more about its habitat, behaviour and role within the islands’ ecosystem. Sarah’s encouraging approach makes the session enjoyable for all skill levels.

Enjoy a sociable Sip & Paint experience combining creativity, conversation and a drink in hand. With step-by-step guidance throughout the session, you can build your confidence, experiment with different techniques and complete your own artwork in a welcoming setting. Suitable for all skill levels, the workshop offers an enjoyable way to unwind, connect and have fun through art.
