Chenica Sommersel

My name is Chenica Sommersel, and from the earliest days of my childhood, creativity has been the foundation of my world. Whether I was coloring, building castles from cardboard boxes, or strutting through the house in my sister’s high heels, I was always immersed in imaginative expression. Today, that passion has matured into my career as an illustration artist, where I work primarily with Procreate, Illustrator, and Linearly Curve. 

Much of my focus lies in the artistic world, including my current project Toka Tola, a story centered on five teenagers making their mark on Tortola’s waters. This project remains a personal work in progress, reflecting my deep commitment to storytelling through art. 

Beyond illustration, I’m also active in the film and performance industries. I’ve worked as an actor and casual model, with appearances in films like Tales from the Third Pillar, directed by Devision for the Paradise 48 Film Competition, and Dove’s Little Secrets through the 284 Excellence Film Competition. 

Alongside acting, I’m gradually exploring music as another creative outlet, working to develop my skills as a singer. I’m also the owner of Kheni Cloud, a small business where I offer custom illustrations, printed apparel, stickers, and paintings. 

Through each of these paths—whether illustrating, performing, or building my brand—I strive to bring imagination to life in meaningful ways.
